Heroic Alysrazor down!!!

SR took down heroic Baleroc and heroic Domo.  We are now 3/7.  Beth and Ryholith are up next!

While we didn't take a picture (blame Sorak) we did down Shannox on heroic on Tuesday night.  Tonight we made great strides on heroic Baleroc and I am confident that it is just a matter of time before he too falls to SR.

The officer team has gotten together and decided that we are going to be changing up the raiding situation.  The in game calendar will now be used and you will be receiving an invite on raid night.  If you don't see an invite please send an in game message to Sorak or Liyhe with your availability and raiding info.  They will better be able to get you an invite then.

We have several people who are close to being raid ready.  If you are one of those people again please send a message to Sorak or Liyhe in game telling them your raiding spec and letting them know your schedule availability.  The more people we know about the easier time we will have with scheduling raids.

Thanks again for all of the wonderful donations!  As I have mentioned before, your Veteran status will change weekly.  If you don't donate enough (approx 250g a week) either in usable mats or gold you might just find you have been demoted.  Remember this is not mandatory but it sure helps out the guild so that we can help you out!  If you have donated large sums of gold and/or mats, don't worry I have my log and I am keeping track so you are fine if you don't exactly donate each week.

Please make sure that you are up to date on your addons for raiding and that you have done your homework.  Other than a few last minute changes we will not be explaining things so you will have to take initiative and do your research.

Tonight is our first foray into Cataclysm raiding.  We are starting out with Baradin Hold.  The strats are in the raiding forums.  Please make sure you read them and watch the video that is linked.  We will most likely head into Blackwing Descent so please also make sure you read up on the strats for the first two bosses.

Please also make sure that you are utilizing the guild site.  All announcements will be made here.  If you have not already done so please make sure you visit the "Shadow Rising and You" thread by Sorak.  Sign off once you have read it and post your main along with your spec.

As like five of you are aware, we are now putting all of the raids on the site calendar.  Since we have so many people coming back to the game (welcome back guys!) there will most likely be competition for spots.  We will be doing our best to take the people that signed up first, but remember that is NOT a guarantee of a spot.  It will be taken into consideration but we will be bringing people who consistently participate AND who have shown their raiding ability.

These fights are not in the same category as the Wrath fights, especially not the ICC fights with the 30% buff.  No one will be able to be carried so EVERY SINGLE RAIDER will need to pull their own weight.  This means no standing in the bad!

I honestly feel we have a fantastic group of players.  I really feel that it is going to be a tough job to select people for raids when we have an overabundance of sign ups.  So don't get disheartened!

Ultimately we want to be able to run two raid IDs each week.  The raid days (as they stand now) are Tues/Thurs & Wed/Mon.  If you sign up for one of those days make sure you can attend the 2nd day.  If we find that these days are not working for the majority of the raiders then we will look into changing the dates.  The raid times are still the same 7:30 pm server to 11 pm server (5:30 - 9 pm for the west coasters & 8:30 - 12 am for the east coasters).

Promotions to Veteran will be based upon guild contribution.  So if you have anything of current value (greens, blues, gems, herbs, ore etc) please mail it to me (Lyssianna) and I will make sure you get the credit for it.  I have a log and everything! :D

Veterans will have the following paid by the guild:

• Repairs
• Enchants
• Gems

You will be required as a Veteran to make donations weekly of items that are usable for the guild.  If you provide to the guild we will provide for you.  If you stop making donations then you will go back to Member status.

We are currently working on several guild achievements.  The most notable one is the critter killer.  This requires us to kill 50,000 critters.  So do your part to help out the guild and kill all those adorable (and not so adorable) critters that you find all around you.

Tonight we saw our second batch of toons get their Kingslayer titles.
